By using a separate underblanket, your horse's normal blankets can easily be adapted to lower temperatures. The lightly filled Rhyolite liner provides extra warmth without putting extra weight on the muscles. The lining is breathable and has a smooth surface, which prevents chafing. The Rhyolite is equipped with Welltex® material, which can promote blood circulation by reflecting the body's own heat as infrared energy. This can have a relaxing effect on the muscles, reduce stiffness and be helpful for discomfort such as osteoarthritis. This blanket is also great for warming up before riding and for support during recovery. Rhyolite has Velcro fasteners at the neck and over the tail for easy attachment to the Obsidian Turnout blanket, carabiners on the back and an attachment kit for other blankets.
